28 Evo 2006

Hi,
I am from Germany and I bought the 28 Evo in Las Vegas, it was the boat on yachtauctions.com.
In 2 1/2 days I bring this boat from Las Vegas to Cape Coral, Florida. At the last weekend was in Sarasota a Poker Run and I was at the start. I have a lot of fun and will start again to the next Poker Run in Cape Coral in December.

I have a Question, maybe somebody can help me. It is an 625 Ilmor in this boat, a 30P 5 Blade on the Imco Outdrive. The boat runs max. 88 / max. 5200 RPM.

Is this the best prop for this boat? How fast are the other 28EVO, or the 2750(I think it is the same hull)

Thanks a lot from Germany

Hello Swonko,
My name is Chris Camire Jr.

First off, congrats on the new boat!!
That is one SWEET boat!!!! I even had the pleasure to drive it a few times and I love it.

As far as your question, 88mph is fast for a single engine 625 and at 5200rpm, you still have 1000rpm left to go, which is alot.... And from what you're saying as far as speed, 90 will probably be the overall best, which again is very respectable for the power and size of the boat.
You can do a couple different combinations... First, if you stick with the 5 blade, I would try a 28 maximus and if that still doesn't get you to 6000-6200rpm then maybe even try a 26 maximus...
Second, you could even try a 4 blade. I would try a labbed 30 Bravo1 and see what that does, or maybe even a labbed 28...

Also, if you are going to boat mainly in the ocean in rougher seas, I would personally stick with the 5 blade because you get more bite in the water and better overall handling in the rough waters...

Good luck with your boat and if you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

88 is hauling a$$ in that boat for that power.

My 2750 goes 90 with a 710-and Im spinning a labbed 4 blade 28.

This is an example of what weight does.

I'm probably a good 800-1000LB heavier than your evo due to all the luxury goods I stuck inside. I'll trade the extra few MPH for the... A/C, 2 screens, nav kit, radar, wicked stereo, lighting, 2-2150's etc etc etc.

Chris "Jr" will not steer you wrong. Heed the Chris's and you will be happy.

That's an awesome boat, congrats.

Saw some pics of it at the poker run and was glad someone bought it and is out using it, as I'd been eyeing it for sale there for a while.

Good News

Hi,
I have a lot of good news.
With 28P Maximus, the boat runs 92. The acceleration is much better then the 30P Hydromotive. My slip is 10%. Unbelivable.

My boat will shipped next week to germany. I have a lot of fun on the Sarasota Run in October and Cape Coral Poker Run, last week.

In the next year, it will be the first Laveycraft in Germany and I will certainly get a lot of attention.

I would like to replace the carpet. Who can send me the Laveycraft Logo.
Thanks a lot
Swonko

Swonko,

Congrats on the boat once again!! Sound like you've definatly got it running good!!
Sweet pics on the poker run.
So tells us.... What were people saying back east? Were you beating other boats that out sized you in length and horsepower? How do you like the ride in the choppy water?

That is definatly going to be sweet to have the only laveycraft in Germany! You should get lots of looks. Mabey even get a potential interest for another boat....
If you ever have any questions about setup or info on different boats that lavey offers feel free to email me 22ccam@gmail.com

As to your carpet, you can call or email the company that does the carpet kits for Lavey. They are called In Stitches and are out of Lake Havasu, Az.
Just tell them the boat you have and tell them exactly what design and colors you want and they will do it for you.
