You don't need a junker to up it to a 496HO. It's only a cam change and an ecu. Instead of the ecu, you could go with a whipple stage II. Then you can just use your old ecu. The CMI headers are a hell of alot of money for a minimal gain. Better spent on prop and dialing in. Maybe a shorty or extention box. If you want to change exhaust, the Eddie marine or Dana manifolds would be the way to go. Lavey jr. any experience with boxes and shorties on the 21???

Depending your location, there is also Cutting Edge. They have very good customer service with great turn around.

We have never put a box on the 21 so I'm not sure how it would work... We've also never ran a shortie but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Also, A.O. I see you're looking for a 38-42' boat... The Lavey 39 EVO is still up for sale for a great deal

When adding a box to the 21, a 7" would maybe work better than a 12"? What does the 21 run with 425 or so hp?
I've been thinking about that one for awhile now. I have a few questions for you, so will pm you a little later this weekend or monday.
