Default Value of a Magnum

What I think they are worth and what they actually bring are two different numbers:

Worth $35-45,000
What they bring $15-25,000

I wish we were able to raise there value...maybe if a enough Magnums win in the HOBA race this June we will see that happen. As Reggie always said win on Sunday, sell them on Monday. Bud

When Mark and I looked at it last summer I had $24K cash in my pocket, talked to him again a couple of days later and he put it in a very nice way that it was not even close to what he wants for the boat. Granted it is one of the nicest, unmolested and original Magnums around, I just can not see paying the asking price or close to it for that boat.
Then again when I think about it I could of bought a completely original and perfect 10,000 mile triple black 426 Hemi 4-spd 1970 R/T Challenger for $10K in 1986
That was a Big mistake!! I kind of doubt that the Mags are goint to take off like the Muscle car craze did, But you never know.

It all depends on what the buyer wants, i know i have 45,000 in my boat but i am not unrealistic to what it will bring in todays market.....If i ever listed my boat again i would put it up for 28,000 and take the first 25,000 that came my way......I love my boat and have learned a ton rebuilding her but when a project is done for me i need another one......I hope ever mag sells for 40,000 that just makes my boat not such a huge loss.....

Default What it worth ???????

In todays market, and really here in Michigan finding a cash buyer is tuff. Banks & insurance companies dont like 30+ year old boats, so you have to find that special person. Very hard to do today. I know, I sold my fresh water hoist kept 1982 38' Scarab in June for $20,000.00 on a trailer, she was worth $35,000.00 but thats' the reality of the maket today. Bud's Magnum pricing is right on for today's economy !!!

wow 20.000 mark that was a deal for the new owner of your Scarab KV..

I know what you mean, a friend of mine wanted to buy an older boats (28 cig) and the bank would not give him the money unless he put some of his house up. boat was only 23.000 and he had no cash.. than he bought a new boat at almost triple the value and got the money know problem with his credit and income

If any one should have a 27 mag its you mark, You know everthing about these boats and the history..

I paid $30K for my 27 Sport. My credit union was dumb enough to lend me the whole amount in about 5 minuets.......I have good credit.

Insurance was a total pain in the a$$.......finally found those dudes in Michigan somewhere....

Anyway......I think Bud said it best.

Well i guess that's what there worth,

Too bad peaple dont know about them so the value would be higher..... Even if you bought a 27 mag for 15.000 if you could find one that cheap.. You would have to spend at least 10.000 on it to bring the cond to where it should be.

Someone make me an offer, other wise ill keep it.

still would like 3 man race boat

Len
