Steve,

Roger, raised my Volvos drives, installed the old drive trim set up from his Sport, blueprinted the bottom, up-dated the steering, installed K-planes,,and using the special shafts with Merc clever props , it would run low 70s, with stock Crusader motors. the guy who owned the boat before me in Fla, replaced the good chrome/Ni Crusader exhaust mainfolds with stock cast iron ones. i found a new pair of the Crome ones and made new SS water cooled/jacked tail pipes. but didn't get to try them as i had the motors out getting redone.
When i was putting it all back together , i sold it to the late Jeff Galente,, Not sure what speeds Jeff saw with the new fresh tricked up motors. he sold it to a woman in that area after about a month after we had it all done. i think Jeff only took it out once as it was winter and still some ice on the Bay.

I completely re-did the whole boat,, all new Imron paint hull and top deck,, all new interior with a new BiltRite 3 man racing bolster set up with drop seats and all new covers.
re-did all the wiring and plumbing.
After Jeff sold it,, it just disappeared. love to find it again?

Thank you
Jim

Hello Jeff,
They were 270 Volvos. Roger had all these extras on his old drives and when he converted to Stern Powers SSM,, he sold me the parts and installed them on my Sport along with raising the drives, the K-planes, steering and the bottom work.

A while after that, Don Stoll sold me a pair of special SSM Volvo type lower drive unit housings that supposely Wally Harper and the folks in Mich. had made. Was told they made up a few sets. I put them together, but never put them on the Sport and they were sold wiith the Magnum

Thank you
Jim

Al Page still runs Stern Power Drives in New Jersey,765-472-0585 when I spoke to him last year he thought he might have parts so he could put together a couple of MX - 07 drives. Bud
