Jolly Roger location?
Does anyone know what happened to my 27' Magnum, "Jolly Roger"?
I heard it was sold to Magnum a few years ago to make a mold from. Let me know.
I sold it to a guy in New York City who owned a body shop in 1981.

This magnum is nto your old blue boat that Gary bought from you. I bought this boat in December 1981, from a guy in Pompano (Steve) I think it was an old Race Boat called "Running Bear" P-20; 5 fuel tanks; 3 place bolster; race mounts; 280HP mercruisers; and TRS Drives. I put 500hp 454's in it in 1983 and are still in it today. It's a great magnum.

Roger what drives did your magnum have, Trs or Stern Power ? I Found your old 38' Sutphen here in Michigan, in the BayCity area. It was for sale last winter on craigslist.

Not TRS...... The boat was so fast that in the first Barnegat Bay Race in N.J. he lapped us in my 27 Sport.
In 1979 when I built my new Cigarette 28 SS race boat to try & beat Gazell in the 30 Sutphen, the Cigarette came out of the factory at 65 mph. Took it to Rogers new shop in Brick & between him & Don Stoll they tweeked the boat...No engine work & it then ran over 70 mph........ That's called talent !
Still couldn't catch the blue Sutphen....oh well... If ya can't lick em, join em.

I bought all of Roger's old Volvo Drive parts for my Magnum Sport. Roger installed it all and raised the drives also.
Thank you
