Fastest 27' Sport

Wondering who is the top dog out there among 27' Sport/Starfire. How fast are you going with ... what power? What drives? What size prop at WOT rpm? Will the truth be told...

I think Roger Munn's Sport runs high 80's low 90's?.....Roger?

Otherwise, I think the Starfire that was just on Ebay is a fast one?

My Sport is slow.....

For a hull that was designed back in the 60's, I thought 70mph was fast for my sport. Last fall the guy's in Sweden [Mange] posted this.

[Tonight we went 96mph @ 5500 on flat water. We still have some work to do on maping and prop. But 96 feels like a back yard BBQ with this boat. Just great.]

And thats with a single engine DAMN !!!!!!!!!

True,, but still the same basic hull. And it's a good splash, not like a Aero.

Yes it had 2 LS6 (454's); 84 mph most of the time, in the last few years of ownership my father saw 86 mph a couple of times, but was typically an 84/85 boat, but there were many days it was an 83 mph to 84 mph boat. It was spinning 27" Mirage props with added cup 5300 rpm. It beat a whole lot of (so-called) 90 mph boats out there. 27' Magnum, a great boat!
