If your talking pure stock 280trs Mag as raced in 1976 speeds of around 61 to 66mph would have been it. My old Mag was P-60 Showdown back then, and I know she had stretched the rules to get that speed. The P-101 Ship On It speeds were truly more inline with a stock Mag of that time.
When Dave Goodman [Tiger Fiberglass] rebuilt the transom on Short Circuit they hung the Bravo drives as high as they dared. With todays props & it's new engines I believe there might be even more speed in her, but 70mph would be fast enuff for me.
This Mag has had such a great racing history, with many race wins in any class she raced, a real offshore ICON.

Did you sell the boat? Saw it on a ball at Put-In-Bay labor day weekend. Very cool!
