New Hull & Deck
I have a freind that just aquired the mold for the 27 Lancer which if everything I have heard is correct is the lone remaning mold of the 27 Magnum. Of course it is from a splashed Magnum, not the original mold
He is an experienced builder and will make a smoking deal to build one. Anyone have any interest let me know thru a pm
Thanks

Hey Guys
He actually has a finished deck that he is going to use to make a mold then he would sell it to me.
I dont need another Magnum with a deck as I have two now. I am looking forward to the open bow version of Plum crazy. I am basically done laying out the front and will have all templates done within a week or two. I really like the layout and I think an 80 mph Maggie that seats 14 will be unique. And very practical for family and freinds.
LJ What boat is that?

What power would you estimate to get her to 80?.....twin 300's?......Will the CC Maggie have a lower floor?.........I do agree, seating 14 will be unique. The design challenge must be keeping you up at night, but I'm sure this new "open space Magnum" will be so rewarding after all the hard work is done...........gonna be 1 unique sport!

Based on what High Life is running I think 300xs mercs will do it or 350 verados Not sure yet if thats what I'm going to do Lots of investigating left.
Dropped the floor 7"s
The design ideas on this boat have been very fun. More complicated than anything I have ever worked on. Lets hope I dont screw it up.

Does anyone know the lay-up that MAGNUM used on the early boats, early '70. I had to install gas tank vents, aft of the engine bulkhead app. 4" below rubrail, glass was 1/2 " thick !!! Lated I intend to remove the thru-hull for the head discharge up near the bow to see how thick the glass is there. "HIGH LIFE"
