Default magnum 27 sedan 1983

Are the older magnums 1970's vintage built any better then say a 1980's magnum? Are the older ones more desireable to restore and own then a 1980's vintage.I have found a 1983 magnum 27 and wonder if I should purchase it or keep looking for an older one.

I restored a 1972 sedan 17 years ago. I can't speak to the differences in the years because I've never seen another one in person. I will say that on mine, they only used 3 stringers in the engine room, not 5 like some (all?) of the sport/starfires. I ended up adding 2 more to strengthen the panel under the engines. Overall, I would say that no matter what the age Sedans aren't worth much except to the few of us that are fanatics about them. Let's see some pictures of your find. I still have mine, by the way.
