Real Magnum Canada
Spoke with Jim who sent the attached pictures. He indicated that Magnum of Florida had authorized these productions, however the HIN # is not US Magnum but a Canada HIN #.The problem is they called in a Maltese, but has the lines of a Starfire. I will speak with Magnum Monday. Bud

Rogue 28 Magnum
I don't claim to know much of the Magnum marine practices of boat building, but why would Magnum marine authorize a canadian version of the 28?..........The picture of the white one (cockpit) doesn't look the pedigree of a Maltese or starfire. although the hull looks the same it doesn't appear to be of the same DNA

The vin # is-OMCC0108L788---My research has come up with-#1 This is a true Magnum built in Canada under permission from US Magnum marine.(read lower licensed user, on spec sheet)
I have never put it on ebay. I had it for sale on kijiji a long time ago when I could not find storage for it.
I have owned it for 7 years and the previous owner had it from the factory when it closed in 1989
I can scan and send at a higher resolution so you can read the spec sheet in detail.
Jim
I can answer any question personally

For the most part the licensing agreements pre-dated free trade. Duty on boats was 15%, federal sales tax was 10%, provincial sales tax might have been 5-7% and exchange rates ran about 20%, so purchasing a US made boat was an expensive proposition. To sell boats, manufacturers had to look for ways around the barriers that existed at that time.
