Hi Guys, I would be pleased to post more of SideWinder now that she is finished, thank you for asking. Is there anything in particular anyone wishes to see or just the overall set up in general ?

To date we have not had time to run the engines on the Dyno. that will happen over this winter. However what I can say and Jeff Hall will confirm the climb out onto the plane and the mid range acceleration is outstanding.

Perhaps you can access the range of power from the fact that with the Bravo drives which are mounted 2" up when tucked in, full fuel tanks and 4 on-board at 5400 rpm we saw 70mph. with more to go. The drives are Bravo 1`s with 1.5 :1 ratio using 3 blade Spinnelli Bros. stainless cleavers 14.25"x 26"pitch which are obviously to small. .Hence we were reluctant to trim the drives out.

Now that we have a few hours on the motors over the next weeks after a modification to the cooling system in order to reduce the water pressure we will run some prop. trials. I have bought a pair of Hydromotive 4 blade 15.5" dia x 24" pitch which we will start with but may have to reduce the diameter a little but we shall see.

I have been invited to take the boat to a small classic boat show weekend of the 4/5 of October in Poole Harbour once the summer speed limit is suspended for the winter months. Perhaps we will be able to setup the Go Pro and take you all along for the ride !!!

These Bontoft High Performace (BHP) motors work a dream, same guy (Mike Bontoft) built these as those in his 35' Cig Dry Martini which has now done 900 miles on the same set of motors, only a cam belt and oil change!!!
