I know that Sedan, it is two towns away from me (5 miles), I have seen it in the water...I am fan of Magnum Sports, maybe a Maltese, Sedans don't do it for me....but we all have have different tastes....there is no recouping any investment in a Magnum, buy enjoy it, it is still a great looking boat, my favorite, but don't ever plan on getting your money back on what you spent on a restoration....

No one is crazy for redoing a Magnum, you have my envy and respect.

What do you want to know? I know where the boat is and the owner lives...I don't know him, only met him briefly, my late father knew him, he builds/built engine, does cylinder head work, the guys at Hargrove's Marina in Brooklawn, NJ know him, I haven't seen him or boat in 10 years, my father thought in ran in that Sedan and told me the boat ran in the low 70's, my fathers 27' Magnum "the Hairy Canary" smoked him good, I was not in the Hairy Canary that day, so I cannot personally attest to speed of the Sedan , and it was at least ten years ago, so maybe the Sedan go dialed in but with Volvo 270's (might be 280's) without the speedmaster lowers would definitely limit top end with nose cones or the speedmaster lowers.

I am so close I can tell the owner you are interested or go ask him whatever you want to know, I am not bashful, and I love learning about boats history, I would enjoy it.

Just wondering if it worked. Adding to a hulls length usually never works out, as I have seen a 32' Skater [HYPERACTIVE] made into a 36', that hull broke up in it's first OPT race. My sports proof that raising stock Volvo drives 3" do work. But 3 engines & Volvo drives is a lot to mechanically overcome.
