I just finished reading Speed Kills and am half way done with Blue Thunder. It would seem that Mr. BK down in Marion has some ties with some less than friendly people and I'm sure there would be some reference in the movie to these "people" and BK. So I'm sure the producers and owners might have had a talking to.
Bizzarre. Great reading though. Aronows murder will never be solved, but it appears that some of the players are already where they belong.

Just finished Blue Thunder and according to this version, Aronow was owned by the mob. BK was a family member and took everything he wanted from Aronow and nobody could understand how or why Aronow let it happen.
An alleged Grand Jury Subpoena is what had everyone worried Aronow would talk and he was wacked.
Very interesting books but like most of these cases too many open issues and no proof of anything. It will never be solved.
Aronows son Michael has written a book. I'm going to get it next.

The large scale version of the movie is in the process of being made by producer Tony Scot of Scot Free Films. Tony Scot is Ridley Scots brother (aliens).
Tony just got done with American Gangster and is currently shooting a new film with Denzel Washington. After this movie is done he will proceed to shoot a Don Arronow movie about his life and death. It is supposed to be in the realm with American Ganster, Goodfellas, Casino, etc.
The rights have been bought. The idea has been sold to the studio. The producers are excited. Now, hopefully the writers strike does not continue so the movie can be put in the can asap. If all goes well I'm guessing mid to late '09 release.
