Part II....
 

You guys seemed to get a kick out of the first one so here's part II

I simply have way too much good footage from last year but this clip is a bit unique in that its very continuous and I'm paying close attention and not looking all over the place(I wonder why!) It made for a simple edit, once I found a tune I liked.

We tagged a fair bit but honestly less than I was expecting. More than a few "hang on" calls were given to the passenger which were unnecessary :D

Nice!!! So how fast were you running?

Hard to say really, but it sure was alot faster than going upstream lol

The boat can do high 50's/low 60's with 2 guys and a good fresh pump(which mine doesnt have lol) but with this kinda thing its always a big tradeoff between wanting to go slow to give time to think abiut where the heck you're going to go ,wanting to go fast to keep as little boat in the water and wanting to go a speed you're going to be content hitting something at lol

My guess would be 50ish

Cool chit! This style of boating has always caught my attention. All about "seat of the pants" driving, nothing better than that at the end of the day! :cool:

How much time do you scout river before you go down? Or not at all?

Seriously if we can we do, but its not very often that happens.

That particuklar run was my first time up and down that river. Down is so much different than up, apart from the basic feel of what to expect its not a huge help really. Seeing the rocks is the toughest bit, and as you can tell in a few spots either I didnt or just couldnt avoid them lol

You really do learn alot of little tricks and tips as to what to look for , its not completely random as most people think , but a good part of the fun is not knowing whats around that next corner.

Always a very fine line between going fast enough to not hit bottom and slow enough to figure out where and what you're going to do next. Stopping is rarely an option, especially downstream

is there a special intake for the jet pump that doesnt suck up rocks and stuff? seems like it would suck up alot of junk.

Almost all skinny water boats run a rock grate of some kind yes, only ~1/2" or so gap between the bars, anything else goies right thru. This boat has a Mercury sportjet but the intake setup is quite a bit different than stock, for better performance and obviously, durability :D

I didn't notice it until the end, but are you steering and filming at the same time?
