Default Miller Marine Norfolk VA?

Has any one had dealing with Miller Marine in Norfolk. They are a small consignment dealership located in OV section of Norfolk. I was thinking about trying to sell my Baja Islander through them. However they want me to sign my title to the boat and trailer and give to them. I am not exactly comfortable with that. Is that a industry standard?
On the title it says not to sign unless the buyers info is filled out.

Help a brother out? Baja Will any thoughts?

Chad

I do not know Miller. They may be great - but the bottom line is if it were me I would NEVER sign my title to anything until I have cash in my hand. Your title is your only protection. If you sign it over all you then have is basically a promise either oral or written - that they will pay you your money. If something goes wrong you no longer have title and you are stuck in a lawsuit to get paid. Show them the title so they are sure at the end of the day if they do the work you can deliver ownership but I would not sign over the boat.
