Uhhhh, not really. We have close to 60 on our list right now.
Besides Florida, the Chesapeake Bay has the largest concentration of Sonics, due to the dealer presence and support that exisited here for almost 20 years. We have people comming from all over for our 3 day event.
Unfortunately, there are no longer any performance dealers in the region of any brand.

We kinda handle that
Our schedule will be out soon.
That being said it is worth the trip down to do a MPB event too!

It takes the participation of the boaters to make these events happen. Alot goes into putting these events togather...All to benefit the participants.
Thats what makes the Bay area a great place to live. Thousands of miles of shoreline, great clubs like these and the good people in them.
Come out participate and support these events and the clubs. We only have so many months to play on the water each year.

Besides the supposed implication, slow has many definitions. While Sonics may not be the fastest ride out there ( however many run well into the 80's and 90's though, example pictured), they surpass many in other area's, especially in the rough stuff ride, where as others have their azz handed to them and get beat up.
When it gets rough, 3-5's or more, how many 25 foot plus boats do you see running 60mph plus that can maintain and not get the chit beat out of them and thier hardware ? So fast- ability to run 80-90 mph plus, doesnt mean squat in those conditions. More times than not, its rougher out than calm. So speed is limited by conditions..... by the sensible driver in boats of all sizes. I would much rather roll along at a nice pace in a Sonic and not get the chit beat out of me, but,,,, I dont have to really worry about any of that in my ride....

But is does seem odd to organize a poker run for one brand of boat. I've seen others but never understood it. Probably excludes a lot of friends that way but that's just me.
