Lake Murray is a big Spot, Some in Hartwell too.

Lake Keowee and Jocasee may be good.

Moultrie and Marion are OK but watch for stumps!

Then there is the Intercostal and Off shore!

I think you will find a fair number of Go-fasts on Murray, but can,t get you much info.

I'm still trying to get the Scorpion ready for the water. (an older 26' Chris-Craft Go-fast)

I lived on Lake Murray for over 25 years and the comments above are correct. Charleston is a great place beautiful and lots of things to do. Not sure about the go fast population, but lots of waterways to discover.

To me its crazy that a guy says he is moving to a city that is on the ocean, and has a ton of waterways around it, yet everyone suggests a lake????????

What's crazy? He asked for the hotspots (I gave him the larger bodies including the Intercostal and offshore).
He has all the info I can give.

Just because he will be living in Charleston does not mean he will not travel 30 mins to two of the largest lakes in the State.

Just because he claims he will be living in Charleston does not actually mean he will live in Downtown Charleston. He may be living in Charleston County, or North Charleston or any of the surrounding Counties/Cities/Areas associated with Charleston.
He's not just looking for water he's looking for like minded people with similar boat styles.

This area in not like Florida, his question is a good one, with reason.
