I hear they reopened the lake today. I was supposed to be meeting 6 families this weekend down there but canceled my reservations to head to LOTO instead. Now some of the people going are trying to convince me the water is fine (they called today), no debris, ramps are clear, etc... I fear these are optmistic forecasts they are getting from the locals trying to recoup revenues.

Does anybody have a first hand look at the lake conditions or have a recommendation on who I could contact to get an unbiased assessment?

We had a wonderful stay last year at this time but at that time the water was clear and did not use the high water ramps. I do not want to travel there only to put my boat and family at risk all weekend. Any info is appreciated! Thanks!!!

The Salt River is still closed. That is what Twain dumps into. If you looked at it on Sunday coming back from LOTO, you would have seen it is still way out of its banks. No way Twain is back to normal pool if they are still dumping that kind of water out of it.

They opened the Lake up to daytime traffic only on Tuesday. Sounds like alot of debris still in the Lake. Here is the local news report...
