LOTO is getting pounded with bad weather
We left Monday. It poured for a couple hours on Sunday and we had a tornado warning
http://lakeexpo.com/news/lake_news/w...9fa8b0ccb.html
5" of rain last night at LOTO and more strong storms expected tonight. The lake is up 2.5 feet in the last 24 hrs and is 1.5 feet over full pool.
All 12 floodgates are open at Bagnell Dam.
Lots of reports of debris in the lake and water is over the seawalls in many places.
The main issue is that many homes, docks and water establishments are built based on 660" full pool and don't have a lot of room to spare.
If it rises another 6 inches, chances are PB #2's marina building will have water in it.
Lots of talk and pics on MWBP

Highest I've seen it. The sand trap on #13 at The Cove course has lake water in it. With the gates open like this downstream will be a mess.

Nothing on Lake Expo about it yet. They are still reporting attempts to keep everything open. They say The dam at Truman has been closed down while Bagnall remains full open to try to get the lake down for weekend traffic.

Level is down noticeably this morning. Probably has a ways to go but at least it's headed in the right direction. Sun is coming out and blue skies to the west. First boat I saw leaving the cove was running hot. I bet it will be tough to enforce the no wake today.
