outboard to Stern-drive conversion

has anyone converted a 35 outboard powered boat to stern drives? I have come across a 35 Motion cheap, but it needs power and has been originally rigged with triple outboards. I have read that on triple set-ups the middle motor doesn't fair very well.

As a side note, what are the speeds of triple 300's as opposed to a pair of healthy 502's?

I would stick with the triple outboards. The speed will be about the same at 110. The centers take a beating in race conditions in rough water. Pleasure boating should be fine. I had a triple 30 Motion that was a fast and cool boat.
