Default 225's

I've been running outboards for 30 years.
I had a set of 1985 200's that had aroung 2000 ours on them and they were run hard. Real hard around 7000 rpm there whole life.
You will have a hard time wearing out a set of 300's
Put good oil and gas and they will last a long time.
I have a set of new xs's and really like them.
My 3rd pair of 300's.
The 225's are great motors as well
On most twin outboard set ups the gearcases are the weak link.

If you are thinking about a cat with outboards do yourself a favor and look at Don's Motion.
It is really a nice boat and Don is a super nice guy.

Send a PM to "dirtlawyer" here on OSO. He has a Motion and I am sure he will be able to give some advice. He has a Motion and am sure it is for sale.

I have been on the boat and it is truly unique. I was amazed at how well it performed and how little fuel it used. Dirt is a standup guy and I am sure you would not be dissapointed.
