Believe it or not the fuel economy of 1075's are incredible. Efi tecnology is the way to go. It seemed in a couple of boats I've owned with 900hp blower motors with old technology that they would drink twice the fuel of my merc 1075's.
I wonder if on idiling and docking if he shuts down the two middle engines. Would the boat get on plane with just two engines??? Come on Frankie give us the details. Meaning if one engine broke would you shut off the other engine on the other side and be able to run just 2 of the 4. I would think 3 of the 4 wold really screw up handeling and would be better just to do 2 out of 4 in a pinch????

I agree it is amazing how fuel efficient the 1075's are. I use less that Half of what my buddies use with similiar power.
I would bet that this boat will still run well over 100 missing one motor. I would think you would only shut down the one that was broken. I believe the addidtional drag of two dead motors would be more of an issue than having the unbalanced power of three..
