Bummer. Do you have to watch out for ethanol fuel and not use it? Here in DFW the pumps were labeled when I had my boat.

What's the difference in top speed on the 48 with 1075s vs the 1350 mercs set up for all around performance not just a kilo run? I guess I'm really asking what speed could be expected with each engine package, not the difference. Just curious.Talking about the race/pleasure not an all out light race boat.

They haven't done any high speed testing in the 48 with 1350's yet so it is all specultive at this point.
Typically they gained about 15mph going from 1075's to 1200's. So I would assume at least another 15 going with the 1350's. Round numbers are low 155ish with 1075's, 170ish with 1200's, guessing 180+ with the 1350's.
These are set up with pleasure use in mind and not all about top speed but good all around performance.
Randy did say with this set up they were the fastest accelerating boat he had built also.

I agree Reggie, but I have to get rid of some 1075's and 1200's first.
But I'm trying.

You Should Sell The 1075 And Make A New Mti Race And Put The 1200 In It!

I think he should build a 55 and put Sterling's new twin turbo 1700s in it.
