Thumbs up First time in MTI today!

Was lucky enough to go for a ride in a 42 today. Mainly just gotta say....WOW! That was my first big cat experience. It is certainly way different than a big V!

It was a calm day on the Chesapeake Bay so there was no real pucker factor to speak of. The boat was unbelievable stable. We went into the 1 teens+ a couple times and the GPS was still climbing pretty quickly when we slowed down. I raised my top speed on the water today thats for sure!

Feel very luck to have had the chance to experience that.

BTW, dont yell at me...I did take pics but cant upload here. I guess I need to pay more to OSO first? Ill work on that.

John

Had Fountains for last 5-6 years running well over 100 and I took a ride with a friend in a 42 MTI last year w/ 1100's and as you can see by my avatar... I am now a owner! It is an amazing ride for sure. I just can't wait until poker run season gets kicked off where I can get some seat time.

The big cat is certainly a different animal. What I really like about his boat is its usability. Considering it has 900's and does 120+. It still has seating for 8, a full head, queen bed, swim platform with ladder, blender, big stereo etc. Ough yeah and its quiet. Two sets of mufflers on the 900's make it really quiet. Well until you get the blowers humming above 3000-3500. But by then all you can hear is wind!

It was a little chilly!

Thanks to all for your kind words , this boat just gets better as I get more seat time . It feels fast ,safe and stable . The quiet part and the huge seating area are a big plus too .
