Wave when ya see me.
That early morning shot of you is a great example.
And, for me- no better example of it than this one:
This photo was more fun to set up than any from this year or any other year.
Because I was still recovering from back surgery (6wks),
Air travel and driving were still wearying, so I allowed myself an extra day of travel on the way to LOTO.
I'm in a Days Inn near Ft Jefferson, and I am seeing facebook updates from Low Altitude.
They are heading my direction with their latest update giving an eta of about 22 minutes.
So, I break into the camera bag, then set up a chair at the window and open it.
A quick test in the 6-in opening tells me with the bldg facade on my left and an overpass to the right
I'll have about 4 seconds to get a clear shot.
I have a few real clear memories from early studies in the late 70's
and I remember the one simple rule of action photography:
Be ready.

Good question. Had to think on that one for a minute...
There's no real easy answer because each one has it's own special sauce.
For sheer go-fast boating total immersion - ShootOut.
For camaraderie - Ft Myers Offshore Sarasota Overnight.
For overall fun factor - Flight Club Skaterfest.
If you give me enough time, I'll figure a way to include all of em on the list.
I didn't mention BVI, TICKFAW, Desert Storm, Cumberland or 1000 Islands...
There's no real easy answer because each one has it's own special sauce.
