2013 F M O Holiday Reason Run - P H O T O S
#40
Head In The Cloud
I'm really happy with results from the shoot.
First, because of the great weather and incredible turnout.
And also because of the new pilot (to me) and his helicopter- that thing was smooth as silk.
Vibration is a big problem for cameras in helos, especially on windy days and when turning or maneuvering.
Never had a flight where so many shots came out in good focus, and Mr O had me in position nearly every second.
1100 frames in 45mins- if it isn't my personal best, it sure felt like it.
That said yadayada... sometimes I get caught up in the moment and lean out into the slipstream.
It can work if you are ready- the wind will grab the end of the camera lens and you may get a blurred shot.
All I can say is "Holy Pixel Dust, Batman..." the 'Shake Reduction' feature of Photoshop CC is a mindbender.
If you saw this original you would say there is no way to make it publishable.
