Now's the time to upgrade your tired old 502 for the 540 you've always wanted. Exchange your 502 for a reman marine engine with a Scat 540 rotating assembly with 550HP. These meticulously built 540 engines are sure to satisfy your hoursepower cravings. The base unit starts with a hand picked 502 Gen VI block bored to 4.500". It's square and parallel decked and align honed. Cylinders are plateu honed to within .0002" straightness and roundness and then sonic tested for thickness. The fully balanced rotated assembly features a Scat 4340 4.25" stroke crank, SRP/ JE Pistons and moly rings. The heavy duty double roller timing set turns an Isky roller hydraulic camshaft. The heads have stainless 2.250intake and 1.880 exhaust valves with Performance Marine springs and retainers. The finish engine assembly is dyno tested prior to delivery. All this for only $5995 with a rebuildable 502 Gen VI core. This does not include intake manifold or ignition.

Do you do full repowers? How much to trade 3 502's in a 47 Fountain for 3 of your motors? The boat runs fine now but more power would be nice.

Pookie, yes we do repowers. Yes we are intrested in trades. Are these engines EFI or carbs. What kind of HP are you intrested in? Are you looking for long blocks or fully dressed engines? Or do you need our our services to do the repower?

Are those H beam rods?

502 MPI. I think they're rated at 415 or 425. I don't know what power would be ideal but I would want the whole job done if you do that.
