Autotether Wireless Lanyard Safety System
The Autotether™ Wireless Lanyard System is a revolutionary new way to protect boaters and prevent run-away or out of control boats in man-overboard situations.
Wireless kill-cord and man overboard sensor form a system that attaches directly to OEM marine engine kill switches. The AutoTether is fully automatic with safety as a first priority, protecting up the operator and up to 3 passengers (including pets) while allowing full, unrestricted movement around any boat.
Installing an Autotether wireless lanyard is easy. Included 3M adhesive-backed dual lock strips allow the receiver to be mounted in virtually any location on your boat. The clip connects to the boat's engine kill switch, and the unit is completely self-powered to eliminate the hassle of wiring. The Autotether system is fully portable and is powered by standard AAA batteries (included) that provide more than 100 hours of protection.
How It Works
* Each personal sensor features a transmitter that sends a constant signal to the receiver when both units are turned on. In the event that the sensor gets wet or strays more than 100 feet from the receiver, the signal is broken and the alarm will sound.
* If the operator goes overboard (yellow sensor) the engine stops and the alarm will sound instantly. This eliminates the possibility of runaway boats and potentially catastrophic accidents, and allows the operator to reboard the vessel.
* For additional safety, in the event an operator or passenger notices a potential hazard, he/she can manually trigger the alarm by pressing and holding the red button located on each sensor.
