Default Speed of 28 Heat with 496 HO

I'm giving some good thought to a new 28 Heat closed bow and was wondering what kind of speeds are you all seeing with stock 496HO set up?

Thanks.

Hey Ian good to see you on here...
Before I did the Raylar kit on my 05 Heat with the HO I was getting 62/63MPH up here on the Mississippi....But I have the Mid Cabin and from what I understand the Closed Bow can get maybe 2 to 3 MPH faster.....
But thats not always right in all cases.....We were down on the Illinois River by Peoria and I met up with another heat owner.....I belive his was an 03 closed Cabin and him and I was able to run side by side all weekend ....But I have to admit I had to do everything to stay with him like move both kids up into the Bow.....They had 4 Adults in the closed Cabin I had 2 adults 2 kids....Not sure how we were on fuel.

Bent:

Good to hear from you too. I saw a pic of you in your Heat on another thread here. I think it was where everyone posted pics of their boat. Good looking set up. I have a graphic design of interest, but still early in my process. I had chosen Baja at first, but quality issues have led me back in this direction..... PS. I saw Jimmy Glen the other weekend. He is doing fine......

Hey Ian,

First I want to say that I love my RAGE, I Have had no problems with it at all. My neighbor bought a Heat this fall with the 496mag and I was able to hit 64 on GPS. Bob also took his boat out and couldn't be leave how good it ran with the MAG. Hope to see you in a NORDIC soon, I know you will love the boat. Hope to see you this summer
