The tabs look good. How does the Herring 6 blade compare to the 5 blade in performance and handling?

Steve,
Thanks.
The Hering 6 blade is just more of the same, as when going from a 4 blade to a 5 blade. It is smoother, carries the boat better, and is faster than the 5 blade.
I will be bringing this prop, and a 15", 29 pitch, 5 blade, with me to the regatta.
Chris

After taking my kids tubing all afternoon, I did some testing before loading the boat on the trailer.
My boat looses aproximately 3+ mph with the bow cover off.
On glass water this evening, with both tanks 3/4 full, I was able to hit 90.2 mph with the bow cover off, going in two directions, back and forth from the dock. I Installed the bow cover, and did two passes, 93.3 going out, and 93.4 coming back in.
I had no idea that the cover made that much (3mph) difference.
Anyway... this is my report.

Ned,
No.. on getting the indicators mounted. I have returned the "heads-up" indicators because they take up over 11.5 inches below the dash, and I just don't have the room. Stainless Marine is now sending me a set of indicators that I will mount in the tray in front of the gauges. I will take pictures when I am done.
In the mean time, here is a picture of my trim switches.... lower right hand side of picture, below the shifter/throttle.

Update:
The horizontal trim tab placement does indeed work for top end stability... but...
They drag in the water at anything other than WFO, even with them being fully retracted. This causes a 3-4 mph decrease in speeds at 3k and 4k rpm. This placement also causes the rear of the boat to pick up when doing slow speed turns, like when pulling an innertube, and causes the prop to cavitate more readily.
My verdict: Overall, I do not like this placement for general boating.
I will be mounting them next, as far out as possible, and following the angle of the hull, aproximately 1/2 inch up from the bottom of the hull.

Chris,
This is how I ended up mounting mine, 8 deg from horizontal and all the way out. Were you able to use the template I emailed you?
If it ever stops raining I will let you know how they handle.

Chris,
I will keep you posted on the outcome.
The tray is a great place to mount your indicators, it was really the only available space I had on the Rage to put mine. It should look awesome right below your nice gauges!
