Worth the swim....
 

Though none of us need any further evidence or validation that Nordics are one of the nicest looking boats on the water - here's a neat thing that happened to me at LOTO week before last.

I was tied off in Turtle Cove off the Gravois Arm with another Heat owner I had newly met the day before. He had his wife with him, I had a boatload of passengers. We were just floating in the water enjoying some cool beverages. There were dozens of boats in the cove all around us, anchored and tied up just as we were -- doing the same thing.

I notice a group of 4 people (turned out to be 2 couples) who were anchored on the opposite side of the cove from us -- quite a ways away -- paddling in our direction. Probably took them a good 5 minutes of dog paddling with floaties to reach where we were. Took some coordination over that distance --particularly when keeping their beers above water.

They swim up and say that that seeing 2 Nordics together was rare -- and very cool - and that they'd only seen a Nordic once before. They then spent the next 15 minutes checking out our two Heats top to bottom (mine an '02, my new friend's an '00). Really nice folks, from Illinois -- down for the week.

Just one of the fun experiences at LOTO this trip. Love that place.

thats cool that they knew what they were, i always get "that boat is awesome what kind is it", never a lack of interest with these boats!

Obviously they are cool people with great taste in boats :grinser010:..........
Never been to LOTO, gotta get out there someday...........

If i remember correctly, I purchased the 4' instead of the 5' figuring it would be sturdier.

Be sure to attach the support bracket that supports it. Don't rely on the deck ring to hold it. I also purchased extra plastic lenses. If my engine hatch is up and I raise the light, the light hits the hatch and breaks. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Anyway.. good luck, it's easy.
