Default IMCO Fuel Valve/Tank Selector Problems

Has anyone ever had problems with their tank selector? Mine started acting up last summer but I found a loose ground wire on it and it started working again. Now it has quit working again? I've read on another forum that the switches go bad usually? I tried diagnosing it tonight with no luck? Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a problem.
