1984 nordic 22 viking prop choice
hello all , new to the forum , Im the proud owner of a super clean 22' Viking day cruiser. its equipped with an A290hp Volvo and bolted to a aq280b outdrive with power trim and bennet tabs. currently has a 15x19 Volvo prop. Boat planes and cruises great but will only turn 3200rpms at WOT I think im leaving a lot on the table because book says 5400rpm max at WOT and should cruise 400-600rpm less any advice would be appreciated! P.S I know its not a HEAT but I love this beautiful Boat. Thanks in advance

My last boat was a 85 26' Viking and was like new, Loved it and got a lot of looks with it. I had the same motor and it is bullet proof if you take care of it. The prop sounds right, but first push the throttle to the max with engine off and check to see the the carb butterfly's are fully open before doing any thing else.
