bowline is just south of haverstraw marina. its a little "pond".
its an awsome place to anchor. croton gets real nasty some days but in bowline its so portected its like glass all day. the problem is getting in there. theres a big opening to get in but there is a big rock wall that you can see at low tide but at high tide you dont know its there. ive watched many people hit it. there is a real small channel to get in and its all deep water inside. if anyone wants to go in let me know. im there alot.

launch usually up in lansingburgh/north troy----near albany but maybe never again. last weekend went to see some friends who live riverside with a dock just north of waterford on the canal---found out the hard way that some 9-10 foot piece of concrete or who-knows-what has fallen into the middle of the canal----putted out between the buoys with the wife and kids and started to accelerate and slammed my skeg, prop, and broke the coupler all at once-----not a real big fan of the hudson right now---anyhow anyone up north here watch out about a half mile or so past the waterford bridge in the canal---friggin jaws is there waitin to chomp someone else----i know my buddy tried to contact the sheriffs or whoever marks and monitors those things but hey---this is ny----they will get to it when someone sinks and it is a real dilemma----for now, im a lake guy all the way------enjoy the weekend all
