It was actually my kid hanging out with the Bissett family on Sunday. The boat was anchored and the elder Bissett was on the boat and could not figure how to start it when it broke loose. Needless to say it was up on the beach.

We were out there to and I had my 2 yr old daughter with me. My brother had his kids too. We were leaving claudios and heard the report of 30 MPH winds, we diecide to stay put. thank god it got really bad really fast.

A guy came in from farmington in a big sport fisher and was soaked he said waves were hitting him up in the fly bridge.
We waited it out in the carousel.

It was just a couple of years ago we lost our 30 ft sutphen in a frak offshore storm just after comig back from claudios.
We look at the trip across alot different these days.

I heard lots of boat were getting beached and damaged pretty badly.

THe water in the streets at greenport were up tp the axles of SUV's in mintures and I think the wind got up to 50 or 60 MPH by the end.

Amazingly enough the ride back was calm. almost too calm for what had just taken place. It was a odd feeling for sure.
