If I have a seat you are welcome to come with me. I will not know tell late. Won't be the fastest boat out there but should be fun anyhow.

They start the run with what they call the Thunder Run. It is a high speed run down Jordan bay, around the island, up the lake and back down the lake to between the island. Probably something like 20 miles? After that the card stops are like a treasure hunt. You get clues from their web site (so a web cell phone is good to have) or you can buy clues.... Lots of ways to do it. It is a different way to do it and always a good time. The party afterwards is ussually good with a decent band.

I would think average is around 60 mph? There are some guys like Tazz and a few other that can run way into the tripple digits. Every year it seems to get faster and faster.

Geez, maybe I will bring the jet, I can run in the low 60's. I might have to stay in someone's wake where the water is smooth, those shallow V's don't like chop!

so how does the wholebregistration thing work? I thought I read that registration was the night before? That's gonna suck if I have to drive up there and then try to find a place to stay the night! Is there a late registration saturday morning?

They usually have a booth set up to register on Sat morning on the road behind WalMart. (I think it's Manchester Drive)

Ya there is a registration the day of as well. The "preregistration" deal is for the party the night before and the drivers meeting. Last year they had a registration in Windham behind the Wallmart in the morning. I remember one year we registered on the water but that was kind of a PITA.

Is the drivers meeting not mandatory even if you want to run the thunder run?
