Marthas vineyard is not very friendly to noise, boy i can remember when the bulkhead in oak bluffs was loaded wit performance boats, now almost all blow boats!

Where in Plymouth are you leaving from? If I follow the speed limit in the canal it takes about 40 minutes end to end,but usually 25 minutes.(shhh) Then 5 minutes over to Bassett's Island and about a 10 minute no wake zone to the Chart Room.

Thanks. Right from the public ramp in Plymouth harbor. We have friends there and trailer down a few times a season. So adding in time from there to the entrance might be, 15-20 minutes maybe?

The canal always makes me scratch my head. I have never been through it, and I understand there is a speed limit, but have also heard stories about cameras up and down the canal. So even if there is not a boat in site, you could still be stopped and get a ticket miles away. True?
