there are lots of places to stay on the east end there are hotels/marinas in.Montauk , Sag Harbor and Shelter island .There are also places to stay in Moriches Bay ...

If you search the web for marinas or hotels in these places I'm sure you could find a place to suit your needs .
We have stayed at a place called the Pridwin on Shelter Island ,its a nice place to spend the night .its on the north side of island .If you go to the east side there are places too ,you can also consider Sag harbor . These places will require you to travel into Peconic bay .When you want to head to the ocean you will have to go through the locks at shinecock . Unless you stay in Moriches bay somewhere .There are also places to stay in the Hamptons .I think it might be west Hampton - search the web you will find a place , if you stay in Hamptons/Moriches bay you can ride in ocean from Montauk to Shinecock inlet then come inside .No matter what you decide I'm certain you will have a great trip ..
Good luck in your search

I looked at Monyauk Yacht Club last week - big buck$. Weekend rooms start at $800 per night ($550 weekdays). That doesn't include your slip.

Try Westhampton bath and tennis. They have a marina on the bay side. If cutting through shinnecock canal you must go to Canal Cafe. The best lobster roll, hands down.
