Default Taylor point marina

Anybody use taylor point to drop in and go to the vineyard. If so can you use it at any tide?
Looking for nice ramps with good parking for a 42 footer.
Thanks

One of the nicest ramps in the area. Plenty of "Big" parking too. Tides are never a problem, just stay in the channel going out. It zig zags until you get to the Cape Cod Canal. Fairly narrow in front of the Mass Maritime Academy Ship, watch the markers and you'll be fine. Easy run over to the Vinyard too. Let me know when your heading down, I'm always in the area on the weekends.

Pease park in New Bedford is a real nice ramp facility also. We launch out of west island quite a bit but the ramp setup is a bit tricky

Thanks, I wouldn't mind getting together with a few people. Trying to hit a few different places this year.

How long from Taylor point to Oak Bluffs?

Have you ever gone to Fall River from Buzzards bay if so how long does it take cruising at 55-60.
Thank you

About 1 hour, if you go through the sakonnet River. A little longer if you go around and come through Newport. If you need or want an overnight slip in Fall River pm me.

Sounds great. Heard Bristol RI and Newport are good places to stop as well.

Thank you

Taylor pt ramp is first class. When backing in use the left of the ramp ( left in your rear view mirror ) longer dock on that side.

Only issue you might have w the 42 is they didn't make the "nose in " to square your truck / trailer to the ramp quite long enough. Other than that it's real nice. I still haven't found the end of the ramp so I think you'll be good length wise.
