Default What is the boating like around Bridgeport Conneticut?

Besides the Atlantic, is there any inland lakes that would be good for a Top Gun?

I would say no. I think Long Island Sound and the southern portion of the Connecticut River are the only bodies of water for a Gun.

There's a good bunch of us who run out of Old Saybrook at the mouth of the CT river.

There are plenty of places to go to on Long Island sound. I'm on long island and we go to Conn. alot . As far as performance boats , the marina I keep my boat has quite a few.. at least 15

I go to college in Bridgeport right now, and other than the ferry there's not much going on in the harbor. Old Saybrook/Mystic area is a lot more popular for performance boats, ease of launching, access to Long Island Sound, etc. (If you ever want a crew for the Gun PM me and I'll skip my history class )

Leaving out of the CT river gives you some of the best boating destinations in the country. Block Island, Newport, Greenport, Montauk, Sag Harbor, Mystic, etc....
