Operation Santa Claus a Success!
Below is a small story we'll be sending to the local press and boating publications. The story doesn't capture however how really deserving theses families are of our support and how heartfelt their appreciation was to NJPPC and performance boating community that helped them out. While we all hope they won't need our assistance a year from now - we'll continue to help the families of those fighting for their country.

Performance Powerboaters Spread Christmas Cheer and Support to New Jersey National Guard Families
The New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club (NJPPC) channeled the good will of its members and indeed boaters throughout the country to help local National Guard families at Christmas time. In addition to the burden of having a loved one absent and often in harm’s way, it’s no secret that families of activated National Guard and Military Reservists often have a difficult financial adjustment to make. Rick Engstrom, a NJPPC Director, lead the effort to assist families in the club’s locale - Ocean County, New Jersey. Dave Patnaude, club President, donned a Santa’s cap yesterday and loaded Christmas Food Platters provided by club Director Pete Mazzo into his shiny, red pick-up and made five stops visiting families in Toms River, Bayville and Barnegat. In addition to the bountiful food assortment, each family received $400 to help make this Christmas a little better. Dave Patnaude commented that the gesture unanimously brought smiles to faces of the often, young families. We understand that the smiles have now spread to all the faces of the Performance Powerboaters that helped out!
