Re: Official CPC Tow Rig thread
I don't really know how great Ford trucks are but...This 2000 V10/pig needed Air bags on the rear, with aftermarket adjustable HD shocks, and a set of drilled/slotted rotors to keep from killing me and my chitbox 42 it has to tow.

Geez, you guys are rougher on eachothers trucks than boats. Why is that.
Nice rigs everyone.
Here's mine and yes I use it for the right reasons.

I changed the oil on my tow vehicle this weekend. 9 gallons of 15W40 and an LF3000 filter. The good news is I'll never have to change it again, the limited miles I'll be driving it.

Looks really nice Dan. Maybe a road trip to Cumberland for a few days to watch the Poker Run in September. I think I'm going down this year.

Hey Payton! Good to hear from you! I been thinking that maybe I need to upgrade to a 600 Cat in the Freightliner, just in case I need the power to pull that heavy old Cigarette
I gotta tell you, this 310 Cummins-powerd Freightliner beats the crap outta the 1974 International C4070A cabover 318 Detroit-diesel (unaffectionately called "green leakers", "Yamahas", "Yammer-jammers", "two-stroke jokes", "Cornbinders",) that I drove in the late 70's. Jeez, all that thing had to do is see a hill in it's headlights and it'd slow down. And get 2 miles to the gallon. Not that we EVER ran overloaded. Not at ZFS.

Oh, I can remember pulling out of Greenville MI with 350-Cummins Freightliner a set of doubles tagged for 165,000 lbs and crossing the farmer co-op scales with a gross of 215,000 lbs of wet corn. I'd say that's a little above the State Polce weighmaster's fudge factor.
