I can't imagine what it must've felt like just moments before impact. Just real sad to look at these pics, and think of how so many lives were ruined, especially the survivors.

Look, no one posted anything ridiculing or poking fun at the tragedy. I'm sorry if you feel it was posted in bad taste. I'm sure by seeing such grafic pics, it'll make other boaters think that they're not so invincible, which many people think that "well, it won't happen to me" kind of attitude.
No disrespect was ment from it, it was posted to make all the club members aware that this is what could happen to us out there, so be careful. That's all, nothin more.
I would hope that if my life was taken in such a tragedy, someone would learn from my mistake from the pic they saw of my boat on OSO, and not let it happen to them.
We can't bring them 5 people back, but all we can do, is learn from them at their cost. Hopefully, we'll never have to see such a terrible accident again, ever. Maybe that the people that see these posts will drive a little more responsibly.
Thanks for your concern, hope you understand better now.

For me, these pictures bring home the fact that this sport can and does bite back. The pictures don't offend me. They make me think about doing the best I can to try to protect myself as well as the passengers in my boat every time I leave the dock.
The people I invite on my boat are quite literally putting their lives in my hands. It is my duty to these people that I do everything in my power to see that they remain safe.
God help me if I ever forget that.
