I have an extra set of gears that I might be ready to sell in a month.

I will say one thing though, my Old 40FT Excalibur had TRS drives, with the 72C trannies and a pair of 425's. They lasted almost 700 hours, except one lower was replaced. They shifted smooth, and my buddy runs TRS in his 34 Scarab, and he hammers that thing pretty good and no troubles. Of course they were not 600HP mills hooked to them, but a stock bravo sure wouldnt last with 600HP in a 40ft boat either.
If I get it, I will probably sell the stuff, and hopefully get close to paying for one konrad at least

I sent my trannies to Texoma Marine and had them upgraded. THey were bulletproof.
I was running 650hp in a 38 ft boat. Weighed 10500 with light fuel. Never had any problems. I think the key is using competent mechanics on your drives.
They are designed to take more abuse than a stock Bravo actually.

You can actually send the TRS to BAM marine and they supposedly have an upgraded gear set for those. Freind of mine told me about them.

Thats the oddest stinger I saw. I only new of the 390, which was a flat deck square windshield, and the 375/385 models from 1988-1989 which had no windshields. My Hawk 40 was identical hull to the 390, and I owned a 1988 375 for a short period. his looks great though!
