Traveling to Chicago

I will be traveling to Chicago this summer for a week of business (6/21 - 6/28). I am staying at the Hotel Sax (Formerly House of Blues). My question is did my Company put up in a ok hotel, what should I do while I'm there, (I will have 2-3 day of personal time), and is there anything going on boating wise?

Thanks in advance

There is always something going on. Stay on board here as it gets closer to summer for whats happening.

You have a ton around that area.....Michigan Mile is in walking distance...So is Millenium Park and the "bean" ...you can also walk to Navy Pier but it will take you some 20min or so....

You have Harry Carry's, Mortons, Sullivans etc all close by....and that Hotel is right next to the river so you can watch the river traffic too.

The Hotel from what i hear from friends is very cool too.

When booking a room try to get a eastern or southern view as high as possible.
I am not particulary familiar with this hotel, it may or may not have a Lake Michigan view(eastern), but it should have a river view(southern).

For late-night/early morning drunken festivities that may or may not result in passing out on a couch in his condo...consult Kool-Aid Man here on the board.
