Betty and I are in New Orleans for the Tickfaw 200. Waiting for Steve and his T/G. Going to launch and then head to charlies funhouse. Which big pond were you talking about ? Does Lake Ponchartrain count as a big pond ?

Buddy and his new ( to him) 42 fountain w/3x 500efi's were out on the big pond last week...or was it the week before when we had those 70* days.....they froze! but got the beast up to 86mph and had some change left

Happy to see you back in the swing Doug! You'd better get that bad boy up here again sometime this summer, we missed you guys the past couple years! Besides, Hammond has a new harbor master now...he won't know that you were banned!

5/16 Friday. SPLASH. Lake was smooooooooth...and it was warm enough out there for t-shirts at 70. Coastie ribs were all over outside Hammond, but nobody chased me. Boat ran great, hoist is hooked up, and we are ready for summer! To anyone planning on slipping at Hammond this year...BRING YOUR WALKING SHOES. They've got things f'd up from the construction still, and you are SERIOUSLY looking at 1/2 to 3/4 mile walk from the parking lot to the boats out on T or V. Sucks.

Hey Mike, good to hear you made it out! Can't wait to do the same myself. Off to a slow start, drives go in for rebuild this week, but we will be in Florida the beginning of June, so the timing is not the best. Once the dust settles, it will be great to float, with gas the way it is$$$ Where's the plutonium when you need it!
