Default Just to let you guys know about my Mom

My mother had been having issues for about the last 6 weeks with pain in her chest and then her back after a fall. Last Thursday the Drs finally figured out it was a dissecting Aorta artery. That was what killed my brother 8 years ago.She was flown to North Western hospital Thursday and started surgery on Friday morning. It was a 10 hour surgery. She came through it fine and is getting stronger and stronger in the ICU and we expect her to be moving to a more regular room today and maybe home in a few more. That is simply amazing and an answer to many many prayers. I hadn't taken the time to post anything untill this morning. We.ve simply been to busy and hadn't thought of it. But, I know several of you know her and are very good friends of ours, will care.
Thank you for being friends.
Mark

Mark, it is great that you caught it early enough. They are able to do amazing things with hearts today. I have faith that she will recover stronger than ever. You are at one of the best hospitals around. That is were Debbie had her heart surgery s.

Glad to hear that your mom is doing better and that the doctors were able to diagnose it in time. Prayers go out to you and yours.

Thanks everybody, she is an amazingly strong woman for 76 @ 120#. There is no doubt that it was God and the God given talent of the doctors. Also the skilled care of the Nurses. Every nurse she had we thought was the best we've ever seen, then the next shift, she was just as good. They care about the family and their feelings as much as the patient.

Once again, thank you for the prayers.
She was moved to stepdown care and is sitting up eating and will be walking before she goes to bed.
