The chain is officially open! No wake has been lifted but more importantly, the Island is open! Was at Blarney New Years last night, today it is open for business!

What time of the year was that? The lake was nice and calm that day. I have only hit a few days that calm out on Lake Michigan. I love running out there when it's like that.

Did anyone to out? I was camping. I went over a few of the bridges on my way back on Sunday and didn't see a single boat out. It was 48 degrees. Open or not that's cold!

I talked to a few fishermen at the boat ramp and they said suprisingly that there was very few things floating around and they were out all day all over....ill be out testing this week with the drag boats but will go for a cuise also. Its game on!

I was out last weekend. Great day on the water. The kids even braved the water for a quick swim. Cold as hell but they are kids. This weekend was too cold and raining. Normal Illinois Memorial Day weekend.

Went out sat and sun. Sat night got a little chilly. Sun was nice til around 6 when it started raining.
