Default update

Hello Mark, we currently dont have any plans for a regatta, even tho we have talked to past customers about one. With as small a crew as we have, most of the time is spent building new boats, or working on projects.
Cool drawing Dave, that looks pretty close to the 49 as it sits. We built the first 49 for twins and im going to shoot the next 49 sometime in february with four motors i mind when we set up the bilge and drive system.
As far as the open house goes, we dont have any definite plans yet, it is still in the idea stage. Were workig on finishing the 25 sportfish so that it can go to Florida to be tested and evaluated.

More to come, ill keep you posted, have fun and take care all

glassdave

I believe it was a 48, It was one of their standard designs. Nothing like the drawing. Still a mean looking boat.

Thumbs up Getting ready for 2004 boating

Getting a slow start toward working on the boat. I usually pull the motors every winter because it is easier to work on the motors and the boat. I hope this summer we can get as many Ocean Express Cats together so we can meet at a poker run or just get wasted somewhere all weekend. It is kind of nice to see what others have done to there boats. Next winter, I plan on painting the entire boat. Know anyone interested in taking on the task?(let's talk) I am looking for some trim cylinders for my ASD8 drives. If you know someone who may have an old set, let me know. If anyone is going to the Chicago Boat Show, I will most likely be working the Fountian booth. Stop by and say HI!

Hey Dave,
The boat looks incredible! I love to see what kind of ideas you might have and the kind of pricing we might be talking about. I have changed the stringers in the engine compartment so that the motor mounts are mounted to L bracket and not through the sides of the hull. I need ideas for engine hatch cylinder mounts because my boat did not come with any.
Adam,
If you have any trim cylinders for my drives, let me know please. Every year is a new project. If you do have a open house, I love to go. I have been to the plant many times already during the Skip era, but it has been awhile.

Ill check and see what we might have in stock for trim cylinders... we mostly set them up with verticle stabilizers on the 39s... too far out of the water and you got vibration and too far in the water scrubbed speed.. so once you test it a few times, we would lock them in at the sweet spot. Ill get back with you if i find something or not tho.
Glassdave and Tiz did an awesome job on refinishing / painting and re-rigging Tizbads 39', i got a chance to finally see it this past summer and it looks great.
Now all i have to do, is get you 39 crazy guys up here to take a ride in the new 38s so you can fall in love all over again $$$$ hehe take care and talk to you all soon.
