It's a good idea, but I hated it when Allweiss came up with it in 2000. We ran A-99 in A Class, and when SVL was created by APBA and made part of the Super Series............someone already had that number. I had to change to 66 to run in SVL.

I think the OSS system works a whole lot better. No chance of any duplicate numbers.
I think OPC in APBA may have done the same thing many years ago. When I registered, they assigned me the number 208 I had no choice in picking it.

It's the same thing Tim. It didn't apply to the non-Super Series classes, but the canopied boats all had "non-duped" numbers. That is why I was forced to change my number.
